Bottom of the bill is a podcast for DIY musicians navigating the current landscape on the periphery of the major industry cities. Hosted by Anton Laplume and Billy Begley, members of Jacksonville, FL’s up and coming band, Side Hustle, the podcast features appearances from various artists, club promoters, management, agents, and venue owners to give some real insight on the industry. Add a bit of comedic relief from from Begley and Laplume’s back and forth with the occasional jam session and you have, Bottom of the Bill.

Ben Strok is a local Jacksonville musician who has been in and lead several bands throughout the years. We spoke on a wide array of topics from his evolution as a band leader to modern recording techniques used by DIY artists working with limited budgets. Be sure to check his band Ben Strok and the Full Electric out. They have a bunch of new music coming out and they are a force to be reckoned with.
