Bottom of the bill is a podcast for DIY musicians navigating the current landscape on the periphery of the major industry cities. Hosted by Anton Laplume and Billy Begley, members of Jacksonville, FL’s up and coming band, Side Hustle, the podcast features appearances from various artists, club promoters, management, agents, and venue owners to give some real insight on the industry. Add a bit of comedic relief from from Begley and Laplume’s back and forth with the occasional jam session and you have, Bottom of the Bill.

Two time grammy award winning artist, Ulysses Owens Jr., joins the podcast for an incredibly informative interview. Playing with big names such as Kurt Elling, Christian McBride and Gregory Porter, Ulysses also is a teacher at The Julliard School and philanthropist with his non-profit organization, Don't Miss A Beat, reaching out to students with music education and support.
