Bottom of the bill is a podcast for DIY musicians navigating the current landscape on the periphery of the major industry cities. Hosted by Anton Laplume and Billy Begley, members of Jacksonville, FL’s up and coming band, Side Hustle, the podcast features appearances from various artists, club promoters, management, agents, and venue owners to give some real insight on the industry. Add a bit of comedic relief from from Begley and Laplume’s back and forth with the occasional jam session and you have, Bottom of the Bill.

This week on the show we sat down with Bobby Moody, the sound guy at one of our favorite venues in Jax, Archetype. Bobby hails from New Haven, CT where he got his start playing in different creative projects and studying sound engineering at the University of New Haven. He would eventually join the ranks at a local venue called Space Ballroom, working his way up the ladder becoming the house sound man! After some time holding down the fort, he would become the sound man for the Orchestral Rock band, Community Center. It was then where he’d spend the better part of 3 years touring around the country. There’s no shortage of crazy stories from the road on this episode and even some pretty wild coincidences!
